Bamboogle 20-2244 Brazil Bamboo Coffee Table Review
Bamboogle 20-2244 Linda Karenza currently resides in Seattle Washington and spends time in the winters at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Those times recharge her batteries and reinvigorate her creative self. Linda says that it's the hot, lazy days in Mexico that bring out her passions for life and design. Linda studied Fashion Design at Washington State University and spent the first part of her career in a women's clothing retail operation. She helped launch a version of the 'swabbie' bell bottom jeans back in 70's and spent time as a buyer, merchandiser and part of the new product development team. Aside from Interior Design projects, Area rugs have been another interest of hers and designing loose flowing contemporary patterns has resulted in elegant pieces in wool and silk that are hand knotted in Nepal. With all of the options for tables in both design and wood type, she surprisingly chose the simplest of forms and a unique wood type. The use of bamboo took months of research to be able to settle on the specific species call Moso. Not only is it very hard and dense, it is Panda friendly as it is one of the species that is not part of their diet. The fact that bamboo is one of Earth's most sustainable resources was the driving force behind Bamboogle's use of it. To complement the intriguing grains of bamboo which tend to give a symmetrical and clean-lined look, she gave the Bamboogle tables a softly tapered but strong leg with a lighter scale side rail and top. She is currently working on new eclectic designs to fit a smaller niche in marketplace.
